RFD-TV To Broadcast The 120th Rose Parade
Crook & Chase To Host “LIVE” Coverage
Equestrian Commentary Provided By Pam Minick

NASHVILLE, Tenn./PASADENA, Calif. --RFD-TV announces today its decision to broadcast the 120th Rose Parade in Pasadena, California and become the newest member in the Rose Parade’s family of broadcasters.

On New Year’s Day, country music’s dynamic duo, Lorianne Crook and Charlie Chase will host RFD-TV’s live coverage of the Rose Parade with equestrian commentary provided by National Cowgirl Hall of Famer and rodeo queen, Pam Minick. RFD-TV’s parade coverage will begin at 11:00am EST with “limited commercial interruptions” and will focus on broadcasting the equestrian groups in the parade that are sometimes cut in other national broadcasts. Minick will be providing colorful equestrian commentary from the street while Crook & Chase focus on covering the intricate details of the forty (40) plus parade floats traveling down Colorado & Orange Blvd.

“I will never forget seeing the Rose Parade for the first time on television… in color! It was a big deal for the entire town where I grew up. Now what an honor it is to be at the Rose Parade in person and to be directly associated with broadcasting an event that has made such a lasting impression on me and so many others over the years,” stated Charlie Chase.

“RFD-TV snuck me out to Pasadena a few weeks ago to check out the parade route and to see some of the floats being built. What an incredible sight, “exclaimed Lorianne Crook. “The floats are enormous. I know it will be overwhelmingly beautiful to see all the parade floats decorated with thousands and thousands of fresh cut flowers.” The Branson Convention and Visitors Bureau is the first to commit to sponsoring RFD-TV’s Rose Parade broadcast. The “live” Rose Parade coverage will air January 1, 2009 from 11am-1pm EST. In addition to broadcasting the 120th Rose Parade live, RFD-TV will also have the longest float in the Rose Parade. Standing at 25 feet tall and 85 feet wide, the RFD-TV float saluting HEE HAW’s 40th anniversary and the American farmer & rancher will be topped off with musical entertainment provided by country icon Marty Stuart and his wife, country queen Connie Smith.
