The RFD-TV Equine Blog: Television, Travels and All Things Horse - Introduction
August 25, 2011 | Lizzie Iwersen
As aforementioned, I am from Montana. I point that out, my home-state, because it is more than just where I was raised. It has come to define a great deal of my working-girl ways but most importantly I credit the Big Sky country for defining my cowgirl ways. The type of cowgirl I have become began in Montana and has evolved steadily since the first day I threw a leg over a horse. Traveling for both work and rodeo competition takes me places populated with all types of horse-people. I am fascinated how amidst all the differences between us horse-folk, we all are truly and willingly bound together by the love and appreciation of all things horse. Our raising and experiences set us apart. The horse brings us all together. RFD-TV works hard to bring horse lovers together. With the equine programming on RFD-TV we aim to provide something for all interests. For most of us, as long as there is a horse involved, it’s interesting- no matter where you came from, where you live now, and what type of horses you prefer. Programming on our network comes from around the world, is delivered around the world and, again, all shares the common thread of the horse. Great horsemen know that there is always more to learn when it comes to the horse. And, likewise, in our world of horses, there is always something to talk about. From what we see on RFD-TV to what we see goin’ down the road, let’s talk about it. No, no, wait…let’s BLOG about it!
