RFD-TV Presents American Mountain Theater

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - NASHVILLE, Tenn. - (December 16, 2011) – American Mountain Theater (AMT) will bring its music and comedy variety show performances from their stage in Elkins, West Virginia, to RFD-TV beginning January, 2012.

Each weekly 30-minute show will include a wide variety of musical performances, featuring sounds in country music, bluegrass, pop and gospel, and AMT’s signature comic impersonations.

AMT began performing for audiences in 2007 and is one of West Virginia’s fastest growing tourism attractions, with over 132,000 visitors to date. They have received awards for their excellence in programming and distinctiveness and for innovative development by the West

Virginia Division of Tourism.
“Taking AMT nationwide was a goal from the start,” said Kenny Sexton, president and producer of AMT. “Over the years, AMT has proven to be exceptionally successful at bringing people from around the country to see its world-class show. Now the talented cast will be taking its show into homes across America.”

Owners Kenny & Beverly Sexton work alongside their daughters, Jamalyn Sexton-Beck and Meggan Sexton along with 7 other professional musicians with over 325 cumulative years of professional music industry experience. AMT will feature musical selections plus impersonations and comedy sketches in their weekly show including episodes featuring selections from their “History of American Music Show,” showcasing the popular music throughout the decades, with future weeks highlighting some of the country’s biggest acts who will perform as part of AMT’s southern gospel series.
