Team roping has returned to RFD-TV with a revised and revamped 30-minute program: Roping and Riding with Tyler Magnus. This summer, Tyler is back in the living rooms of those ready to sharpen their roping skills. RFD-TV couldn’t be more delighted to have the nine-time National Finals Rodeo Qualifier and Texas Hall of Fame Inductee return to the network with episodes set to be stronger than ever.

Tyler is certainly no stranger to the roping pen and has achieved notoriety and respect through his roping prowess and above average horsemanship skills. It’s not very often you find a cowboy like Tyler - one who happens to be as proficient on the head side and as he is on the heel side.  Besides being a capable roper, he’s also become a highly regarded clinician and has gained a faithful audience of roping enthusiasts who are no doubt ready for his return to RFD-TV.

“Without fail, every week I receive inquiries about Tyler Magnus’ show and when it will return. We are definitely excited to have him back in our regular lineup, and I know for sure every team roper who watches RFD-TV is equally as happy!” says Lizzie Iwersen of RFD-TV’s Nashville office.

Roping and Riding accomplishes the same as many of RFD-TV’s equine-focused programs by bringing information straight from the expert to the audience. Tyler knows where his viewer’s interests lie and has successfully created a show that marries entertainment with education.

Those watching can expect tips for all levels of ropers both on foot and horse back, with the dummy as well as with live cattle. Tyler makes it easy for viewers to integrate what they see on the program into their own practice regimen. RFD-TV viewers can also look forward to seeing the short go’s from ropings all over the country. From jackpots to Pro Rodeos, kids to “big dogs,” Tyler knows that ropers love watching roping and recognizes the value in observing others in the sport. Not only will you see quick loops, but also the finest horses going down the road today.

Tyler says, “We’re going to spend a lot of time showing real people doing real things - that’s going to be a recurring theme in the show.
