American Farmer is hosted by Nashville recording artist Charlie Allen. Allen was born in Bristol, Tennessee. Known as the birthplace of country music, Charlie Allen is deeply rooted in the world of rural America. With success both internationally and in the US, Allen has multiple number one hits worldwide. He is currently signed to the record label River Run Records, and recently released the album That Was Then, This Is Now. Charlie's single "See if I Care" is currently making its way up the charts. An all-American raised under the influence of country music, Allen is no stranger to the lifestyle of the modern day farmer. Charlie Allen is delighted to be a part of the American Farmer series, and will provide the Rural Television audience with a truly unique perspective.

The world of the American farmer is changing. This educational series will showcase the hottest topics in farming today. From advancements in precision agriculture and fertilizer applications, to breakthroughs in moisture testing and grain storage, viewers will get a close-up look at how technology is advancing the world of farming. Each week, The American Farmer series will take viewers back to the farms that will always be a vital part of the country. Alongside Charlie Allen, the Rural Television audience will get a behind-the-scenes look at farms ranging from small operations in the Pacific Northwest to major sugarcane operations in the Deep South.
