Farm Journal College TV
Farm Journal Television is proud to announce the launch of Corn College TV, a new program focusing on agronomics and the skills farmers must develop to grow stronger, healthier and better-yielding crops.
Corn College TV will feature Farm Journal Field Agronomist Ken Ferrie and Associate Field Agronomist Missy Bauer. The program will be hosted by Clinton Griffiths of AgDay Television and will feature regular contributions from Margy Fischer, Machinery Editor and Assistant Test Plot Director for Farm Journal magazine.
The first Farm Journal Corn College event took place in the summer of 2008 at the 17-acre Corn College Campus near Bloomington, Illinois. Since then, the event has expanded to include several other events throughout the country. An extension of this popular seminar series, Corn College TV will deliver practical, hands-on advice and information covering key elements of crop production: fertility, soils, machinery, diseases, insects, chemistry and herbicides.
"We're excited to add television to the Corn College portfolio," says Charlene Finck, Senior Vice President, Editorial & Content Development. "At our sold-out Corn College Seminars in July, producers were literally clamoring for more access to Ken and Missy and their agronomics insights. We see this new program as a fabulous way to deliver just that."
Corn College TV dramatically extends the brand, reach and impact of this popular teaching series. "There are a lot of things in agronomic training that are just easier to learn when you can see and hear the concepts," says Ferrie, who directs content for all Corn College activities. "I expect this program to be almost like one-on-one consulting with thousands of producers…every week."
