more competitors from Steer Wrestling qualifying event advance to THE AMERICAN
This weekend, a Steer
Wrestling event was held advancing 10 more competitors to THE AMERICAN
Semifinals. The Steer Wrestling event took place in Topeka, Kan. at the Kansas
Expocentre. THE AMERICAN Semifinals will take place in Mesquite, Texas on Feb.
21-23, 2014. The top finishers from each
event after the qualifier will advance to RFD-TV’s THE AMERICAN Presented by
Polaris RANGER on March 2, 2014 at
AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. THE AMERICAN is the richest one-day rodeo
in history, with a payout of $2 million.

- Churchill is married to barrel racer
Trula Churchill who was a 2013 NFR qualifier. - Franzen was a WNFR qualifier in 2005 and
2008, and won the College National World Finals in 2001. - Steffen travels with fellow qualifier
Linn Churchill. - Larson won the Elk City, Okla. Rodeo of
Champions in 2013. - Knowles was a WNFR qualifier in 2009 and
2011. His father is rodeo broadcaster and 1987 National Finals Rodeo saddle
bronc riding average champion Butch Knowles and his cousin is fellow steer
wrestler Trevor Knowles. - Whitaker won the Linderman Award in
1997, 1998, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2011. This beat his father, Chip Whitaker’s,
record of winning the award four times.
RFD-TV’s THE AMERICAN
Presented by Polaris RANGER will take
place on March 2nd at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Tickets are on sale

The Semifinals is the
last opportunity for an athlete to qualify to compete in RFD-TV’S THE AMERICAN
Presented by Polaris RANGER. It takes
place on Feb. 21-23 in Mesquite, Texas. Tickets for The Semifinals are
