Eliminating grazing will not reduce the impact of climate change on rangeland, according to nearly 30 U.S. scientists.
Researchers, who work for nine universities and the United States Department of Agriculture, say grazing can actually help mitigate wildfires by removing vegetation that acts as fuel.
Their study also points out that some impacts from grazing may date back to the unregulated eras before the Taylor Grazing Act of 1934.
