WASHINGTON, D.C. (RFD-TV) The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced the complete 2012 Census of Agriculture will be released May 2.

The full release is fast approaching.

“The Census of Agriculture complete report will be made available May 2 at noon,” said Renee Picanso, with the National Agricultural Statistics Service.

She explained the different between this release and the announcement of preliminary census data in February.

“It will contain data down to the county level. The preliminary result just had national and state level data. This will be county level data for all of the items that were in the questionnaire,” Picanso said.

In addition, there will be a greater focus by category with the full census release next month.

“These categories are new with the full release. On the preliminary, it focused more on the land and farms, farm numbers, demographic data, value of sales. This will have everything. All the details that are in the questionnaire,” said Picanso.

The full census information will be available online at www.agcensus.usda.gov.
