WASHINGTON, D.C. (RFD-TV) U.S. milk and dairy product prices have reached record levels and are expected to remain high for the rest of the year.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Economic Research Service says this is due to strong foreign and domestic demand.

Dairy product exports have risen, moving from 10.9 percent of U.S. production in 2005, to 19.2 percent last year.

According to the ERS, the expanding export demand will have an increasing impact on the U.S. market.
