RFD-TV RAMPS UP MARKETING TEAM WITH NEW STAFF ADDITIONS

New Hires at Rural Media Group Expected to Grow Assets and Magnify Brand Awareness for the RMG Family of Networks

(NASHVILLE, TN – JULY 08, 2015) Rural Media Group (RMG) announced the expansion of the corporate marketing department today with the appointment of four new team members. The newly established positions were created as part of a targeted strategy to better serve the network affiliates, programmers, and clients and leverage company growth for RMG properties (RFD-TV, RURAL RADIO on SiriusXM Channel 147, FamilyNet, RFD-TV The Magazine, and RFD-TV The Theatre). In the coming months, RMG anticipates further expansion to maintain company growth with new positions in the news, digital, marketing, and research departments.

With new headquarters on Nashville’s Music Row, new, state-of-the-art studios, continued ratings growth, distribution expansion, and exciting new programming such as the RURAL TOWN HALL, we are continually on the lookout for new talent to help us stay on top,” said Billy Frey, Chief Marketing Officer. “Heather, Alisa, and Cameron are great additions to an already outstanding team. RMG will continue to grow on the strength of RFD-TV and RURAL RADIO on SiriusXM Channel 147.”

New team members include:

  • Billy Frey, Chief Marketing Officer: Frey currently oversees all marketing functions for the company, including the launch of its new state-of-the-art studios for the daily newscast of MARKET DAY REPORT and RURAL EVENING NEWS. Prior to joining RMG, Frey was senior vice president of the Alltech Ag Network at Alltech, a global animal health company. Frey worked in the marketing department at Alltech for 16 years in various roles including brand management, country management, public relations, digital marketing, and online broadcasting. While there he worked in the U.S., Canada, Hungarian, Irish, and French markets.

  • Heather Huston, VP of Marketing: Huston will focus on numerous RMG brands, including the fast growing RURAL RADIO SiriusXM Channel 147. Prior to joining the company, Huston worked for numerous television companies, including the National Geographic Channel and an award winning Production Company based out of Austin, TX.

  • Cameron Miller, Manager of Affiliate Distribution & Marketing: Cameron joins RMG to manage affiliate contracts and renewals with MVPD’s and other OTT platforms. Additionally, he will have marketing responsibilities in regards to cross-promotional initiatives and industry events. Prior to joining RMG, Miller worked in events marketing and production at various companies, including Pier 59 Studios in New York, and The Grand Ole Opry and The Ryman in Nashville, Tennessee.

  • Alisa Kessler, Graphic Designer: Kessler joins the marketing team as part of the new graphic design team. She will focus on off-air design and RFD-TV The Magazine. Prior to joining the network, Kessler was an award-winning designer for the Texas Stars and the Ohio University Intercollegiate Athletics, among others.
