FAMILYNET SIGNS MULTI-YEAR AFFILIATE DEAL WITH NATIONAL CABLE TELEVISION COOPERATIVE

FAMILYNET SIGNS MULTI-YEAR AFFILIATE DEAL WITH NATIONAL CABLE TELEVISION COOPERATIVE

(NASHVILLE, TN – JUNE 30, 2015) Rural Media Group and The National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC) today announced a multi-year affiliation agreement for FamilyNet.

Peter Clifford, Senior Vice President of Distribution at Rural Media Group stated, “Rural Media Group is pleased to work with the NCTC and we appreciate the mutually beneficial advantages that a relationship of this kind provides both network and distributor.

Acquired in 2012, FamilyNet continues to focus on high quality, family friendly entertainment and has an extensive programming library available through a partnership with Sony Pictures Television. FamilyNet’s lineup features TV favorites such as I Dream of Jeanie, Bewitched, Starsky and Hutch, T.J. Hooker, Charlie’s Angels, Fantasy Island, All In The Family, and The Monkees to name a few. In addition, FamilyNet airs as well as award-winning movies on Saturday nights, which include titles such as Groundhog Day, Roxanne, and Guarding Tess.”

FamilyNet has seen ratings growth in viewership, up 122% in May, compared to May 2014. And up 130% in the first quarter of 2015, compared to the first quarter last year. FamilyNet has also seen distribution growth, up 20% since 2013 and available in 25 million homes. TV classics such as All In The Family, Barney Miller and Sanford and Son are top programs that continue to drive overall ratings growth for the network.
