RURAL MEDIA GROUP AND MEDIACOM COMMUNICATIONS ANNOUNCE NEW AGREEMENT

“Rural America’s Most Important Network” to Reach More Mediacom Subscribers

(NASHVILLE, TN – AUGUST 3, 2015) Rural Media Group announced today that it has agreed to a multi-year programming renewal with Mediacom Communications. The agreement covers added distribution for RFD-TV on Mediacom’s “expanded basic” service, beginning September 2015. RFDHD distribution is included in the agreement and Mediacom systems will begin rolling out the HD service beginning in January 2016. RFD-TV’s sister service, FamilyNet will get first-time distribution on Mediacom’s ”variety tier.”

“Mediacom was the first landline distributor to carry our service 13 years ago in September,” said Patrick Gottsch, RMG Founder and CEO. “We appreciate the opportunity to grow with Mediacom and we look forward to many more years of success together.”

In addition to being RFD-TV’s first landline distributor, the two companies have a strong history of collaboration, including the ongoing partnership to broadcast RFD-TV’s new political series, RURAL TOWN HALL. Governor Bobby Jindal was the first guest on RURAL TOWN HALL where he outlined his vision for rural America as a candidate for President of the United States in 2016.

“As a cable company that specializes in serving smaller markets, we are pleased expand our relationship with RFD-TV and bring more of their rural living themed content to our customers,” said Ed Pardini, Mediacom’s SVP of Field Operations.”

“Mediacom’s commitment to increase carriage of RFD-TV and FamilyNet will result in many beneficial opportunities to increase the value of the brand of both companies,” said Peter Clifford, RMG Head of Content Distribution. “Mediacom’s current participation in RURAL TOWN HALL is a prime example of the creative partnerships we are looking for in this complex and competitive environment.”
