RFD-TV’s MARKET DAY REPORT DRAWS RATINGS RECORD

Newly Re-launched News Program Hits Record Viewership

(NASHVILLE, TN — AUGUST 11, 2015) Rural America’s “most important network” announced that MARKET DAY REPORT viewership hit an all-time high for the week of June 27th, delivering 23% higher P18+ audiences since the previous high in March of 2015 and 170% higher than the network average. Ratings for the program have seen a steady increase since its early 2015 re-launch, up 32% since January and up 63% since the same time last year. MARKET DAY REPORT is the top-rated weekly program for RFD-TV and RURAL RADIO on SiriusXM Channel 147 and continues to drive viewer growth. Airing weekdays from 9 PM – 2 PM ET, the newly revamped news program is the fastest-growing time slot on the network with more than 93% of the audience watching live.

As the only daily, five-hour telecast devoted to agribusiness, MARKET DAY REPORT ranks #1 for farmers and ranchers, delivering “live” continuous coverage focused on the latest news, trade analysis, national weather, and in-depth commodity market updates. Created exclusively for RFD-TV and RURAL RADIO, MARKET DAY REPORT is the first and only national television and radio program serving rural America and Canada and is available to more than 75 million households globally. MARKET DAY REPORT was recently named a finalist for the coveted 2015 Cablefax Program Awards in the “Best Show or Series” news category.

MARKET DAY REPORT is our top rated news program and the primary place farmers and ranchers go to for information that affects their bottom line. As RFD-TV continues to focus on reconnecting city with country, RFD-TV News will continue to deliver core information invaluable to that audience,” stated Gary Kanofsky chief content officer and EVP of news.

In late 2014, RFD-TV hired Kanofsky (a veteran of NBC, CNBC, Bloomberg, CBS, and Al Jazeera America) to serve as the new chief content officer and EVP of news. With Kanofsky’s leadership and vision, MARKET DAY REPORT experienced a complete overhaul, now delivering a brand new look and enhanced content. The makeover included building new state-of-the-art studios, complete with new set design, upgraded lighting, new HD and broadcast equipment for the production center, as well as a mobile remote production and satellite systems. In addition to the physical makeover, RFD-TV added new graphic packages, hired new anchors, and revamped news content to include real-time data feeds of commodities, equities, indexes, and ETFs so that viewers now see financial data on the move. New dedicated news bureaus in Washington, D.C. and Chicago, round out the programming by delivering up to the minute news content for viewers. Real time stock quotes and analysis, industry updates, and cutting edge product information provide daily economic impact to the working rural American.

MARKET DAY REPORT airs weekdays from 9 AM to 2 PM ET on RFD-TV and RURAL RADIO SiriusXM channel 147. MARKET DAY REPORT is produced by RFD News for RFD-TV. Gary Kanofsky is chief content officer and EVP of news. Senior director of news content and anchor is Mark Oppold. MARKET DAY REPORT is also anchored by Marlin Bohling, Abby Powell Turpin, and Casie Mason.
