Watch Joey + Rory Perform Hymns on the Gaither Gospel Hour

February 12, 2016

This week, several big events are coming together in the lives of Joey and Rory Feek. Their album, Hymns & Stories That Are Important to Us, came out today. This weekend, RFD-TV's Gaither Gospel Hour features Joey + Rory singing their favorite hymns - including “How Great Thou Art,” “He Touched Me,” “The Old Rugged Cross” and “I Surrender All.” This all-new, acoustic-driven, LIVE DVD showcases the authenticity and rich vocals of Joey+Rory. Hosted by Bill Gaither and recorded on the couple’s Tennessee farm, features an interview with Joey+Rory detailing the strength they have found during hard times through these timeless songs.

Watch it on RFD-TV on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 6:00 PM ET.

Joey + Rory fans can get a special edition of the album at Cracker Barrel which includes a booklet containing personal stories and photos chronicling their career.

But that's just one of many blessings Rory Feek intends to celebrate this week.  In his blog, Rory Feek explains how he'd like to spend this Valentine's Day with his wife.

"What I really want to do on this, our 14th Valentines together," Feek writes, "is share a romantic candle-lit dinner with my bride: grill out rib-eyes on the campfire back home, pour two glasses of red wine and sit across from her at our kitchen table – just like we’ve done on more than one special occasion.  But those things aren’t able to happen this year." hope this year instead is to hold her hand and take her on a ‘virtual’ walk down memory lane together… with pictures and videos on my laptop.

On Monday, the Feeks will also celebrate their Grammy nomination for Best Country Duo/Group Performance category with their song “If I Needed You.”  Their daughters, Heidi and Hopie and manager Aaron will attend the Grammy events in LA on their behalf.

And on Wednesday, they will celebrate their daughter Indiana's second birthday.

"Our plan is to put streamers up around Joey’s bed and move Indiana’s high-chair in beside her, so Joey can be part of it.  So she can watch our little-one eat her cupcake and rip the wrapping paper off her gifts.   But Joey is very fragile right now, and so with all of these plans we have, we will need to adjust for what my wife needs."

For their new album, Joey + Rory also recorded a live performance DVD at their barn.  And while Rory is anxious to see it, he's waiting to share it with Joey.

"My wife is so beautiful on the stage, in the spotlight.  So full of life and love.   I started to watch it last night, but decided to wait.  I’m going to watch it with Joey… on Valentines day date night."
