NASHVILLE, Tenn (RFD-TV) Smithfield is helping families recover from the recent devastating floods in Louisiana.

The company donated 25,000 pounds of protein to the Food Bank of Central Louisiana and the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana as part of its Helping Hungry Homes program. As families face the task of rebuilding their homes, farmers and ranchers look to replace their crops and livestock losses, which the LSU Ag Center says could top $15 million.
