10 Fun Facts about NHSRA Jr. High Rodeo

The NHSRA Junior High Rodeo is being held this week in Lebanon, TN. Here are 10 fun facts about the annual event.

1.     The NHSRA Junior High Division was established in 2004 for students in grades 6-8.
2.     The organization boasts over 2,500 members.
3.     1,000 “Best of the Best” competitors come from across the U.S., Canada, and Australia.
4.     Over 50,000 people will be traveling to Lebanon, TN for the competition.
5.     The 2017 NHSRA Jr. High Rodeo will also be held in Lebanon, TN.
6.     Past NJHFR host cities include Gallup, New Mexico (2005-2013) and Des Moines, Iowa (2014-2015).
7.    #NJHFR2016 is the official hashtag of the event.
8.     There are 15,000 horses on site at this year’s rodeo.
9.     The Jr. High Rodeo is the 2nd largest rodeo in the country, following the NHSRA High School Rodeo. 
10.   NHSRA has $1 million worth of livestock on site.
