NASHVILLE, Tenn (RFD-TV) Some homeschool students may not have as many opportunities for hands-on, interactive learning experiences as some of their counterparts in traditional classrooms, but the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension wants to help provide more such opportunities by offering cooking classes.

Forty homeschool students of all ages, along with at least one parent, signed up to take this cooking class at the Boone County Extension Enrichment Center. The class met once a week for a series of lessons, learning to make everything from colorful quesadillas to fabulous french toast! As Jeff Franklin reports, participants learn how to prepare a meal – plus a whole lot more.
