(NASHVILLE, TENN./DES MOINES, IOWA — March 7th, 2017) RFD-TV’s award-winning primetime television series, FarmHer, returns with all new episodes this Friday, March 10th at 9:30 p.m. ET. Join host, photographer and founder of FarmHer, Marji Guyler-Alaniz, as she travels across the country capturing fascinating stories of dynamic women in agriculture, who are doing great work. From a scientist to a stock contractor, to a horse trainer, cheesemaker, tomato grower, cattle producer, FFA advisor, stock show competitor, and more, the FarmHers of season one continue to showcase the diversity, beauty, and importance of women in the agriculture industry.

“The women we shine a light on in the upcoming episodes of season one are absolutely amazing,” said Marji Guyler-Alaniz, FarmHer founder and host. “Each and every woman I have met on this FarmHer journey has had an important and real story to tell and these women are no different. While all are very unique and diverse, they are all the same at heart in what makes them keep going. They have invited us into their lives for a day and it is such an honor to show who they are and to bring their love of agriculture to life on television.”

Recently winning the Cynopsis TV award for “Best Reality TV Series — Family Focused,” FarmHer is quickly becoming one of the highest watched and most anticipated series on RFD-TV. The first episode to air this spring will feature Lexi Marek, a 22-year-old FarmHer who is already making an impact in agriculture. From the farrowing barn to the show ring, Lexi shares her experiences being raised around show pigs, life with three sisters on the farm, and talks about how her love for agriculture has even inspired her to run for Miss Iowa.

Future episodes include a celebration of the arts, following FarmHers who have a love for agriculture, women who run a farm or ranch, and have found a way to start their own quilting, photography, or cheese-making businesses. And it’s not just farms and ranches FarmHer will visit. New episodes also include a visit to Syngenta’s research facilities in North Carolina to shine a light on the female scientists behind award-winning products, showing that you don’t have to live on a farm or ranch to be a FarmHer. exclusively on

FarmHer on RFD-TV brings a whole new perspective to agriculture through a woman’s eyes,” said Raquel Gottsch, Executive Producer of FarmHer. “And what I love most about this TV show, is its ability to connect with everyone. When we are at an event promoting the TV series, we not only get to meet women who are FarmHers themselves who tell us how much they love the show, but men say that they love it too and that we should come visit their wife, mother, daughter, etc. We also get folks who live in the city telling us what episodes they love and that they want to be a ‘Barbara’ or a ‘Shannon’ one day. This is turning into a movement, and something I am so honored to be a part of.”

To date, the FarmHer team has captured video and photos of 43 FarmHers for season one and is already hitting the backroads to start filming season two. From Iowa to North Carolina to Indiana, Illinois, Florida, Colorado, Texas, Minnesota and more, these new episodes visit fresh FarmHer faces from all different parts of the United States.

Join the FarmHer journey on RFD-TV weekly for #FarmHerFriday at 9:30 p.m. ET. Encore airings include Saturdays at 11 a.m. ET, Sundays at 9:30 p.m. ET, and Wednesdays at 8:30 a.m. ET. The series FarmHer is produced by RFD-TV and presented by Syngenta U.S. Additional sponsors include Mahindra U.S., Nationwide Agribusiness, and Puracyn.
