More Acts Named for CMA Music Festival

March 14, 2017

Today the Country Music Association announced performers for the Chevrolet Park Stage at this year’s CMA Music Festival. The four-day event will be June 8-11 in Nashville and is one of the largest festivals in the world. Hundreds of acts perform on several stages throughout the downtown area. Last year, the festival drew approximately 88,500 fans per day.

The Chevrolet Park Stage will include newer artists, but fans will recognize several of the acts from their previous TV appearances. Jamie Lynn Spears, previously of the Nickelodeon teen sitcom “Zoey 101" and sister to Britney, will perform. Alumni from “American Idol” and “The Voice” are scheduled including Sundance Head, The Swon Bros., Morgan Wallen and Trent Harmon. Even Luke Pell of “The Bachelorette” will take the stage.

But if traditional country music is more your style, this stage has you covered as well. Look for appearances by Mo Pitney (who co-wrote his first single with Bill Anderson), Maggie Rose (who has graced the Opry stage over 30 times), bluegrass artist Ruthie Collins and Texas acts like Casey Donahew and Kyle Park.

Sugarland fans will also get to see a solo Kristian Bush perform. And fans of the “Big D and Bubba” radio show should recognize duo Walker McGuire.
