Jimmy Fortune Releases Classics

March 23, 2017

Jimmy Fortune, of the Country Music Hall of Fame inducted Staler Brothers, is releasing a collection of favorite songs this spring. The CD, “Jimmy Fortune: Sings the Classics,” will be available on April 21 and includes Fortune’s signature tenor voice and special collaborations with Ricky Skaggs, The Isaacs and the Voices of Lee.

While there are plenty of country music standards, such as Hank Cochran’s “Make the World Go Away,” fans will also get more recent classics. Highlights include the Eagles’ “Take It to the Limit” with the Isaacs, and two John Denver hits “Take Me Home, Country Roads” and “Annie’s Song.” But the album wouldn’t be complete without “Flowers on the Wall” which was the first big hit for the Statler Brothers back in 1966.

Fans can pre-order the album from Amazon and can look for Fortune on the road now through December. See his tour schedule.
