Singer-songwriter Sonya Isaacs, of The Isaacs, and her husband Jimmy Yeary welcomed a baby girl on March 31, 2017. Evya Marcella Yeary was born just after midnight in Nashville, Tennessee and weighed 8lbs. and 6oz. Baby Evya joins older brothers, Ayden (age 5 1/2) and Gatlyn (age 16 months). Mother and baby and the rest of family are doing well.

“We are over-joyed with our precious gift from God. We have prayed many prayers for Evya and love her more than she will ever know,” the happy couple share. “Thank you to those of you who have prayed with us and shown your love and support through comments, cards, calls and gifts. We are speechless.”

This blessing comes a few years after the couple lost their baby girl, Ayva, while Sonya was six months pregnant. Since then, she’s bravely shared her experience with fans. The song, “Keep Breathing,” co-written by Isaacs’ husband, was inspired by the ordeal and can be found on their latest album, “Nature’s Symphony in 432.”

The Isaacs will continue their busy touring schedule with special guests alternating weekends filling in for Sonya while she is on maternity leave: Judy Martin Hess (of the Martins) and Ladye Love Smith on vocals, along with Kevin Moore and Jarrod Walker playing the mandolin.
