Rene Hopkins has built a FarmHer’s dream right in the heart of the city and has all of the tools of the trade at her fingertips to make her dream an every day reality. Rising at 4 AM each morning to make sure all of the animals on her small farm – including horses, donkeys, chickens and even some desert tortoises – are fed for the day, she then performs a handful or other chores before heading off to here day job as a Veterinary Technician. The donkeys provide an additional source of amusement: Rene and her husband take them to parades and other events up and down the west coast, or sometimes hitch them to the cart and take an evening ride around their home town.
