The Horse Heaven Round-Up in Kennewick, Washington, is one of the premiere rodeos in the northwest. They added $20,000 an event, making it the 25th largest rodeo in the nation.

Starting in the Bareback Riding, World Champion, Tim O’Connell, won after his final round ride on Calgary Stampede's 'Yipee Kibitz' for 88 points giving him 171 points on 2. He earned over $5,700, which now gives him a $60, lead in the World Standings.

In the Steer Wrestling, Rowdy Parrott finished first after throwing his steer down in 3.4 to win the final round and make his average 11.8 on three head. Parrott earned over $7,400 and moved up to 16th in the World Standings.

Team ropers Dustin Egusquiza and Kory Koontz tied for second place in the final round after connecting in 5.6 seconds. That pushed their average to 15.5 seconds on 3 head to give them the win. They each earned over $4,800.

Although Heith Demoss was just half a point from winning the final round in the Saddle Bronc Riding, it was enough to push his average to 168.5 points on two head for the win and over $5,800. He's currently 10th in the World Standings.

In the Tie-Down Roping, world champion Caleb Smidt threw his hands up in 8.4 in the final round and that was enough to make his average 25.1 on three head. For the win, he earned $7,200. He's currently second in the World Standings.

In the Barrel Racing, Sydni Blanchard rode "Famous Heartbreaker" to win the first round and the average. Because of the win she earned $7,300. She's currently 12th in the World Standings after having a great late season push to qualify for her 3rd Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.

In the Bull Riding, Chase Dougherty rode Outlawbuckers Rodeo's "Shaking Hands" for 87.5 points in the final round. For the win, he earned over $5,700.

Bull Fighters Only also made a stop in Kennewick, Washington.

Kris Furr won the championship after an 85 point match up with a War Fighting bull, "Two Timer", a quick and aggressive bull that stayed right on Furr’s heels throughout the 60-second fight.

Furr said “the bulls war brought were all hot, all on you... That’s exactly what you want, and that’s what makes the bullfights so much fun for everyone.”

In less than a month, Furr has won three event titles and is 5th in the BFO standings.

Looking at the rest of the results, taking second was Dayton Spiel for 78 points and in third it was Alex McWilliams for 77 points.
