NASHVILLE, Tenn (RFD-TV) RFD-TV’s “Market Day Report” hosts a weekly interview with Roger McEowen, Professor of Agricultural Law and Taxation at the Washburn University School of Law, and an affiliate with the Kansas Farm Bureau.

The topic of this week’s interview: The US Tax Court issued a significant opinion last week that provides relief from self-employment tax on land rents in certain situations. Self-employment tax applies to income that is derived from a “trade or business.”

McEowen explains the importance of the Mizell case to this case, how the law changes will affect American agriculturist and what viewers should take away from the US Tax Court opinions.

Professor McEowen gives his answers to these and other questions in the video above, and further information on this and many other topics is available on his blog.
