Major Ag Disruptions Expected From Hurricane Dorian

Hurricane Dorian moves toward Florida and could directly hit the central coast.

Depending on speed - it may take a couple of days before it hits land. Forecasters worry it will impact an area still reeling from Hurricane Irma in 2017 and an ongoing battle with citrus greening disease. Coastal Georgia and the Carolinas may also be in the storm’s path before all is said and done.

Meteorologists expect it could cause major disruptions for several agriculture sectors in the southeast U.S. into early next week and beyond.
