Addressing the critical ag issues heading into 2021

A lingering trade war, weather issues, and COVID-19 all contributed to uncertainty in the markets in 2020.

While this year comes to an end, questions arise on whether these issues will continue to disrupt agriculture into 2021.

Brady Brewer with Purdue University’s Department of Ag Economics speaks with RFD-TV’s own Christina Loren on farmers’ income trends, what to expect from a Biden administration, and ag prices for 2021.

According to Brewer, “President-elect Biden has given too many details... we do have some generalizations we can make... When he was in the President Obama administration, they tended to favor some bilateral trade agreements. They were one of the champions of the Trans-Pacific Partnership, the TPP... but we can definitely expect to see some type of push for some of these more bilateral trade agreements.”
