A California-based start-up says that they have the solution to help farmers be greener and more profitable.
Meet Monarch’s first fully electric, self-driving tractor. It can plow, mow, harvest, and operate for up to ten hours without the use of gas. The tractor can also give farmers info on crop and field health, and alert them if there is a problem.
It does not require someone behind the wheel, but it does need someone operating behind a phone.
Farmers in California, Oregon, and Washington have first dibs with a starting price of $50,000 dollars.
