Country music legend, Loretta Lynn recently held a benefit concert to raise money for those affected by the deadly Tennessee floods that occurred in August.

According to her website, Loretta Lynn’s Friends: Hometown Rising raised $933,000 dollars, and counting. The concert included Music City powerhouses such as Luke Combs, Garth Brooks, Keith Urban, and Reba McEntire.

Lynn was personally impacted by the floods.

Wayne Spears was the foreman for her ranch in Humphreys County. Sadly, he was one of the souls lost. In a post, the ranch stated ,"With the heaviest of hearts we are saddened to report that our beloved foreman Wayne Spears did not survive being swept up in the flood waters. Wayne has been a family friend to the Lynns and a fixture to the Ranch for decades and we are all devastated by his passing.”
