Harvest is already happening in parts of farm country, and that means a lot of marketing decisions will take place over the next several weeks. But first, the markets and farmers are waiting for more information out of upcoming reports.
As grains make their way into the bins, that means farmers will have to consider storage. However, analysts with the University of Illinois say changing market conditions can impact the profitability of holding onto those grains.
This Thursday’s WASDE report will give us a better idea of supplies heading into next year, and we will also be closely watching the grain stocks report coming out on September 30th.
