More than 40 ag and trade groups are calling out the EPA, saying that they cannot get clear answers around the new WOTUS rules.
The Farm Bureau is calling for clarity for landowners trying to navigate the new regulations.
According to Courtney Briggs, “Despite a clear ruling in Sackett, there have been no clear directions from the agencies about which water features are regulated by the federal government and which are left to the states. Instead, the agencies are making up the rules as they go.”
The Farm Bureau and other groups are asking Congress to take action. The EPA says that 23 states right now are operating under the Biden administration’s WOTUS rule while 27 are not.
