Crops In Space: Researchers on ISS are looking for better ways to grow lettuce

One of Earth’s most abundant crops is on a journey to outer space!

Late last night, a SpaceX rocket blasted off carrying several science experiments on the International Space Station. Researchers are looking at different ways to grow lettuce in space, and hope it can shed light on how to better grow it here on Earth.

The first experiment around lettuce in space began back in 2014. Crews also got samples of moss, and hope to study the impact of radiation.
