In Oklahoma, researchers are putting garlic under the microscope! It is all in an effort to help growers boost their profits.
Vegetable specialists at Oklahoma State University found all the garlic grown in the state is produced by just 28 growers. That is why they have spent the last seven months examining the germination and harvest of 10 garlic varieties. They hope their studies will benefit the entire industry, and some researchers say they will even use the findings in their own gardens.
The end goal is to share their results with vegetable producers across the state.
