Get to know Lee Zeldin, President-elect Donald Trump’s EPA Administrator nomination

President-elect Donald Trump is wasting no time getting his Administration in place, as he has announced several additions to his Administration, including his pick for running the EPA.

He has nominated former New York Congressman Lee Zeldin, who has represented parts of Long Island between 2015 and last year. He stepped down from Congress to run for Governor.

Zeldin is an attorney, and served several years in the army as a military intelligence officer. He has also weighed in on several issues affecting agriculture over the years. In 2017, he co-sponsored some bills taking aim at the renewable fuel standard. DTN found one bill would have repealed the RFS, and the other would have taken corn ethanol out of the RFSs equation.

Zeldin was also a member of the Climate Solutions Caucus.
