Mississippi alligator hunter broke two state records and possibly a world record

After receiving a tip from his cousin, Jason Ullendorf took to the Pascagoula River in the hunt for a monster!

Ullendorf took to the water along with a team in search of an alligator that was making river visitors uneasy. They quickly found the creature but catching it was not an easy task. They constantly hooked the gator but kept losing it.
“We chased it from about 9 o’clock at night until about 3 o’clock in the morning,” Ullendorf stated, according to Clarion Ledger.

After the night battle, the team returned the next day determined to capture the gator; this time accompanied by Joseph Mangano, a fellow gator hunter.

The team was finally able to capture it. Once they brought it in, they realized the female weighed in at 324 lbs and measured 11 feet, 3/4 inches long.
The measurements make it the state’s longest female gator and a new state record for the heaviest.

It has not been confirmed yet, but the team may have broken the world record for the longest female alligator. The current record comes from Florida and measures 10 feet, 6 3/4 inches long.
