New changes to the Endangered Species Act could be on their way under the new Trump Administration

The incoming Administration is expected to take a strong stance, re-shaping the Endangered Species Act once in office.

However, Jonathan Wood, the Vice President of Law and Policy with the Property and Environment Research Center says this is nothing new. According to Wood, nearly every Administration this century has made significant ESA changes once in office.

President-elect Trump’s first Administration took swift action in 2017, re-writing regulations from habitat designation protocols to species listings. It is said that meaningful reform this go-round will require Congress to take action as well.
