North Dakota cattle industry is raising funds for those impacted by wildfires

North Dakota rancher organizations are collecting donations, supplies, and gathering volunteers to help assist ranchers impacted by last month’s wildfires.

An estimated 120,000 acres burned in October, with high winds leading to immense damage. Farmers and ranchers lost cattle, stored feedstocks, and infrastructure to the flames.

The North Dakota Stockmen’s Association kickstarted their own “Out of the Ashes” campaign donating $50,000 to the cause. 100% of the funds raised will go towards helping wildfire victims.
Exxon Mobil joined in on their efforts, contributing $100,000.
