President-Elect Trump nominates Brendan Carr as FCC Chair

President-Elect Donald Trump has made another pick for his Administration, with a direct focus on rural Americans.

He has tapped Brendan Carr to lead the FCC. Carr is currently on the Commission as a leading Republican and has served on the board since 2017.

In a statement, Trump says Carr will “end the regulatory onslaught that has been crippling America’s job creators and innovators, and ensure that the FCC delivers for rural America.”
