Produced by the renowned Nathan Chapman (3x Grammy award-winning producer for Taylor Swift) and Parker Welling (ACM Song of the Year nomination), “First Rodeo” continues Taite’s tradition of crafting deeply resonant country music that connects with fans worldwide.

“What started with a simple, somewhat cliche, title turned out to be a really special song telling a universal story in a unique way,” says Sarahbeth. “’First Rodeo’ took us a few days of writing to get right, but I knew we had something good from the first verse. I was so intrigued by the idea; with everybody talking about what isn’t their ‘first rodeo’… what was?”

“First Rodeo” is a traditional country tune with a beautifully simple production. The song paints a vivid and nostalgic picture of young, blind love, capturing the experience of investing everything into a relationship, only for that love to become heartbreak.

Sarahbeth Taite burst onto the music scene in 2020 with her breakout single, “Long Way,” which garnered over 8 million streams and reached #1 on the all-genres iTunes chart. The single also earned her debut spot on the Billboard chart. Her heartfelt lyrical storytelling and unique sound caught the attention of industry personality and country icon Bobby Bones, who featured her on his show, podcast, and music festival. The “Women of iHeartCountry” have also supported Taite, featuring her last ten songs on Amy Brown’s show. Taite’s previous single, “Diamond And A Baby,” also received support from CMT and ACM, with the music video premiering exclusively with People Magazine.

This new single is the third release from her upcoming EP, “The Way We Started,” which is set to debut on August 23. The EP also features previously released tracks “Pretty Good Living” and “Diamond And A Baby.” With “First Rodeo,” Sarahbeth Taite continues to build on her success, delivering songs that resonate deeply with fans and showcase her talent for authentic, heartfelt storytelling.
