Set Your Calendars: White House conference on hunger & nutrition starts tomorrow

The Biden administration will host the first White House conference on hunger and nutrition in more than 50 years.

The White House will host its second-ever White House Conference on hunger, nutrition, and health tomorrow.

It has been more than 50 years and eight presidents since the last meeting held by President Nixon. The goal will be to discuss how the nation can eliminate hunger and will be attended by President Biden, Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack, and other leaders.

The groups will focus on five pillars during their first-panel discussion that includes: Nourishing Brighter Futures: Ensuring affordable food for all children and families;
Food For Medicine: Bringing nutrition out of health care shadows;
Look Locally: Growing partnerships to expand local food options;
Fit for Life: Creating communities designed for activity;
Evidence to Action: Using research to guide policy and scale pilots

The conference begins tomorrow at 9 AM ET.
