Stockshow Confidential

Stockshow Confidential is an informative and entertaining look into the stock show circuit. Each week Stockshow Confidential will take a look at all aspects of showing livestock; from finding the right animal to showing it at one of the many stock shows across the nation. We will touch on topics such as purchasing, feeding, grooming and of course showmanship. Along the way viewers will meet some of the top breeders and judges in the country who will share a wealth of information, making you better in the show ring. Each Episode will also have a special “Tips from the Vet” feature that will provide a firsthand look at diseases, treatment and prevention.

Whether you are a seasoned showman, or a first time exhibitor, Stockshow Confidential will illustrate the excitement of showing that Grand Champion animal. Join us as we kick off the inaugural season of Stockshow Confidential at the great State Fair of Texas®, the largest and oldest state fair tradition in the country and home to Big Tex®. Then we follow the Texas Tech University livestock judging team on their journey from Lubbock to Louisville for the North American North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE), the largest all-breed, purebred livestock exposition in the world. Then we’ll head back to Texas for a lesson at Stockshow University, a free seminar put on by Sullivan Show Supply all across the country teaching the importance of quality livestock care on showday and at home. Denver, Fort Worth, Oklahoma City and more are on the Stockshow Confidential road trip for 2012 and good livestock, great kids and grand champions are all along for the ride.

Terry Jordan, host of Stockshow Confidential, is from a small town, farming family background in rural Texas. He found his love of livestock at a very early age while participating in livestock showing and exhibiting a Grand Champion animal at his county show. His passion for showing animals has been passed down to his children and he has enjoyed watching them participate in 4-H and the FFA. Terry knows the positive impact showing livestock has on youth and enjoys sharing his passion with others.

His love of livestock, life and his interest in the youth of America has led him to direct and host a television series highlighting the nation’s youth and the stock show circuit. He hopes to promote the livestock industry and offer a behind-the-scenes look into the world of livestock showing.

Be sure to tune in to Stockshow Confidential for a unique and exciting look into all things stockshow. Behind the scenes and in the ring, with any luck we’ll see you in the winner’s circle.
