Steer Wrestling Qualifier to be held in Butler County, Pennsylvania
Possible $10,000 bonus to event winner
OMAHA, Neb. (June 10, 2014) – The first steer wrestling qualifier leading up to the 2015 RFD-TV’s THE AMERICAN Presented by Polaris RANGER will be held July 27 at the North Washington Rodeo Arena and will begin at Noon (ET).
Contestants from several states will travel to North Washington in hopes of competing at RFD-TV’s THE AMERICAN for a shot at $1 million. Ten steer wrestlers from each of the eight qualifiers will continue their road to THE AMERICAN at RFD-TV’s THE AMERICAN Semifinals. From there, the field is narrowed to only five who will meet the best in the world at AT&T Stadium on March 1, 2015.
Producer and Triple S Productions owner Tim Slater has made an outstanding commitment to the qualifiers who attend his event. If the event winner from the North Washington qualifier advances from the Semifinals to RFD-TV’s THE AMERICAN, he will automatically be awarded a $10,000 bonus.
March 2, 2014 was a thrilling and record breaking day for western sports and RFD-TV. Perhaps authenticating his name, Richmond Champion was the biggest champion of the day, leaving AT&T Stadium $1.1 million richer. Champion was the lone qualifier to beat the world champions in any event to take home the Bareback Championship and the $1 million side pot.
