IFAJ Photo Contest

IFAJ Photo Contest

January 15, 2016

NASHVILLE, Tenn (RFD-TV) If you’re a professional shutterbug who specializes in agricultural photography, some of your photos could earn you a prize.. And some well-earned cash. It's all part of a photography contest sponsored by the International Federation of Agricultural Journalists and DeLaval Dairy Industries.

These are just a few of the photos that took top categories in last year's competition.

This beautiful shot from photographer, Knut Valberg of Norway, was the grand prize winner:

Knut also took home a first place prize for this poignant photo of a newborn lamb:

Another first place winner was Fiona Harding of Australia, or her photo of a rodeo cowboy:

And a photo called “Happy Cows” from Carolina Wahlberg of Sweden also claimed a top spot in last year's competition.

To participate in this year’s contest, photos must be submitted by March 1. They must be on an agricultural subject, and they must fit into one of three categories: People, Production (including farm machinery, plant and animal production), or Nature and Landscape.

Submitted photos must have been used as editorial material in a printed publication, or on the internet between January 1 and December 31, 2015. Photos may either be in color or black and white, and you may only enter one photo in each of the three categories.
