Bio: Two-time RFD-TV’s The American, presented by Polaris RANGER® competitor, Tim O’Connell, 23, made it into the WNFR for the first time in 2014, but due to chronic groin injuries, he finished the season in eighth. This season, at the College National Finals Rodeo in June, O’Connell was crowned the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association champion. However O’Connell was injured soon after, causing him to miss some of the biggest weeks of the season. Unfortunately, due to these injuries, O’Connell fell from second in world standings to 13th. 

However, O’Connell made a comeback in the last two months of the season when he moved up to seventh in the world. This year at the WNFR O’Connell tied for first in the final go-rounds with a score of 83.5 points.  His average standings overall was 785.5 points—putting him in fourth place.
