Preview: Cowboy Christmas 2016

July 1, 2016

Nashville, TN

In the Western sports world, Fourth of July weekend is known as Cowboy Christmas because of all the Pro Rodeos taking place and because of all the money that is up for grabs. This year there were 28 PRCA Rodeos offering roughly 3.5 million dollars in prizes. The record for the most money ever won over 4th of July weekend is held by 23-time World Champion Cowboy, Trevor Brazile with $39,993. Watch as Amy Wilson chats with rodeo athletes who had hoped to imitate Brazile's success last weekend, including WPRA rookie barrel racer, Taylor Homuth, who competed at the  95th Annual Greeley Stampede in Colorado Springs.

For the full results from last weekend's multitude of Pro Rodeo events, check out the PRCA's homepage here.
