The 2016 Olympics are underway in Rio and the first dressage event has wrapped up.

The U.S. Equestrian Team consists of four members from Pennsylvania, Virginia and Texas. Phillip Dutton, a six-time Olympian, took 15th place with 43.6 points. Clark Montgomery and Lauren Kieffer placed 24th and 33rd respectively. 

After the first round, the U.S. ranks 6th with 137.5 points and Germany leads with 122 points for dressage.
