America’s food and ag industries are mourning the death of Phil Keiser, the president and CEO of Culver’s restaurants.

Officials with Culver’s say Keiser passed away of natural causes on Saturday (October 15, 2016). Keiser worked with the Wisconsin-based restaurant chain for 20 years and led its 580 restaurants in 24 states.

He also helped raise awareness of the contributions of farmers and supported FFA and other ag education programs through Culver’s “Thank You Farmers” program.

Company co-founder Craig Culver says Culver’s would not be what it is today without Phil’s influence.

The company posted the following on their website.

“For every restaurant you helped reach their best...
For every team member you treated like family...
For every farmer you championed tirelessly...
And for every guest you made sure left happy...
Thank you, Phil... For everything.”

The public are also asked to share your own Phil stories online.

A public memorial is planned for Saturday in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin. Phil Keiser was 60 years old.
