NASHVILLE, Tenn (RFD-TV) One of Nebraska’s largest farms goes up for auction this week.
The “Thomas Land Company” farm covers 45 square miles of land in Western Nebraska near Lake McConaughy. With more than 28,000 acres, it includes a large ranching operation as well as irrigated and dry land farms. The farm will be divided into 50 pieces of property, ranging in size from 10 to 5,000 acres.
Hall and Hall Auctions is handling the sale, and they say so far that they’ve heard from more than 500 interested parties.
Michael Thomas, the farm’s owner, began assembling the property after developing hotels and costal land in Miami. Thomas died last year.
