NASHVILLE, Tenn (RFD-TV) The streets of Las Vegas are flooded with cowboy boots, spurs, flashy leather jackets and bling for as far as the eye can see. The Wrangler National Finals Rodeo has brought nearly 170,000 fans together for 10 days of professional rodeo, shopping, and celebration. RFD-TV production, events, and marketing teams made the cross-country trip from Tennessee to Nevada to extend the legendary experience to rural America.
RFD-TV has a booth and stage set up at Cowboy Christmas, located in the Las Vegas Convention Center, that has been drawing huge crowds for live shows, musical performances, athlete meet and greets, and much more.
Steve Kenyon hosts “Western Sports Round Up” daily, giving fans and viewers a breakdown of each night’s performance. This live broadcast includes video highlights from the rodeo, athlete interviews, and special guests. The list of featured athletes includes bareback rider JR Vezain, saddle bronc riders Heith and Cody DeMoss, bull rider Cody Teel, barrel racers Mary Walker and Michele McLeod, and many more.
Following the news update, it’s standing room only when bull fighter/comedian Flint Rasmussen takes the RFD-TV stage for a live broadcast of “Outside the Barrel.” The show features special guests and rodeo athletes for a full hour of unforgettable rodeo repartee.
Just beside the stage, at RFD-TV’s booth, fans can enter to win the ULTIMATE AMERICAN RODEO PACKAGE, which includes two VIP tickets to RFD-TV’s THE AMERICAN presented by Polaris RANGER®, round trip airfare for the winner and a guest to Arlington, TX, two nights in a hotel, and a new Polaris RANGER®, valued at $15,000. To enter, fans vote on which ten athletes (ERA or PRCA) they think should be invited to THE AMERICAN on Feb. 19. Fans are also enjoying daily meet-and-greet events with athletes during the afternoon sessions.
