Meet Lyna Knight and Susan Weicherding of Lithia, Florida. A former corporate executive, Knight is now the owner and operator of Lyna Berry Farms. Longing for a different pace of life, Knight bought ten acres, did some research on commodities and decided to grow blueberries. She’d never farmed a day in her life before that decision.
That was over ten years ago. Today, their operation has expanded and they’re raising cattle and chickens (you’ll have to tune-in to see their self-made “chicken truck”). “It’s the hardest, best work I’ve ever done,” says Knight.
